Organic Cotton Turkish Towels

A classic, updated and improved in oh so many ways. 

Turkish towels are rightfully famous for being incredibly soft, massively absorbent, and a breeze to use on the beach because the sand just falls right off. Hung up to dry, they dry ridiculously fast, and then tied around your waist or draped over your shoulders, make a perfect wrap for heading out on the town. Rolled up super small, they fit in tiny spaces when not in use - but don't forget them in cooler weather; they make great scarves too.

Turkish cotton needs to be "activated" before first use to maximize it's softness and ensure maximum absorbency in just two easy steps. First, soak it in cold water for 12 hours. That allows the cotton fibers to expand and relax from their packaged state. Wring it out gently by hand and hang to dry, then go out and have fun with it for years to come. 

For best long term enjoyment, hand wash in cold water and mild detergent and hang to dry. If using a machine, use the gentle cycle and avoid fabric softeners which coat the fibers, reducing their absorbency. 

Towels measure 63" by 35" (the same size as our South African kikoy) and weigh 10 ounces.

Choose from three different textures of cotton; flat weave, which is a tighter weave than many Turkish towels, most similar to our kikoy. Gauze muslin is a double layer of the lightest, airiest, softest weave. Pillow muslin is a four layer, double sided gauze muslin for the thickest, cuddliest, cloud-like texture. 

Made in Turkey with OEKO-TEX, GOTS, IOAS and Control Union Certified, which means that the cotton is organic, dyes are all natural, the workplace is safe and healthy, wages are fair, and all of this is certified by an independent third party organization dedicated to protecting workers.
